Warwick Test Supplies TCA600 600A AC/DC Automotive Current Clamp
The TCA600 current clamp is great for use with an automotive oscilloscope such as those supplied by Pico Automotive, Hantek, TiePie and Carscope to conduct first look diagnostics monitoring battery current draw. It can also be used with an automotive oscilloscope to display starter current waveforms, charging currents and for performing quick engine compression tests. Best used with a BNC to 4mm Banana Plug adapter to enable easy connection to the oscilloscope.
The TCA600 current clamp can measure up to 600 A (AC or DC). When testing with the TCA600 there is no need to break the circuit or disturb the isolation as the opening jaws simply clamp around the current carrying conductor. No electrical contact is required for fast and safe diagnostics.
Typically used for the diagnostic tasks below;
- Quick look diagnostics monitoring battery current draw when operating components,
- Relative compression test (Petrol),
- Charging system evaluation (Petrol and Diesel),
- Starter motor and circuit evaluation (Petrol)

- Dual hall effect sensors;
- High conversion factor for low DC & AC mA measurement;
- High Frequency at 20kHz for waveform monitoring with an oscilloscope;
- Zero adjustment button to compensate the hysteresis in DC Measurement;
- Fitted with shrouded 4mm banana plugs for use with most DMM's with 200mV and/or 2V range for direct readout
- Can connect to a Male BNC to 4mm Banana Socket lead for easy connection to an oscilloscope.
