Volvo HGV - Bespoke Diagnostic Harness

A Volvo HGV diagnostic specialist has recently contacted Warwick Test Supplies and enquired on a bespoke diagnostic harness. Having already created a number of bespoke diagnostic breakouts for the customer we knew the brief would be challenging. Our target was to create a reliable, durable and cost-effective diagnostic solution.

The customer sent through a set of existing Volvo Test Leads that we analysed and used as a bench-mark. Our engineer then developed a bespoke design that ensured the harness would specifically meet the customers unique diagnostic application that the Volvo Test Leads were unsuitable for.

After sourcing the obsolete connectors from the customer, we were able to start building and testing the 26 Pin Volvo Breakout Lead prototype. The bespoke commercial harness went through vigorous product testing and was shipped to the customer ready for the HGV workshop. 

Our customer had spent years taking readings by other methods, which were more time consuming and vulnerable to mis-readings caused by poor connections. The market didn’t offer a solution but thankfully he found us and made contact. Warwick Test Supplies were able to design and build a bespoke harness that met the brief and pleased our customer - In his word “Thanks again, I’m over the moon with the harness”.
